Do Aliens Exist

Are the fantastical space beings from other planets true? Do aliens really exist? It’s a question that has triggered debate for many generations. Do aliens exist on planet earth? Although no one is certain about the answer, it’s a subject that has captured the imagination of everybody.

Are aliens real? If so, are they coming to earth? These are some of the questions that have dogged scientist as well as ordinary people for ages. However, there are strong indications that there is life on the other planets. Furthermore, there are staunch supporters of the theory that the aliens are not only coming to earth, but have been visiting regularly. Combine this with the common reported occurrences of alien abduction stories and UFO sightings and you can’t help but answer affirmatively to the question; Are extraterrestrials real?

Scientifically, more studies have been carried out to shed more light on this unique probability. One of the recent research projects is the Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence (SETI). This refers to the various activities undertaken by different people to search for aliens. They utilize radio satellites to collect scientific information such as electromagnetic waves to know if life really exists on the other planets. For many years, these studies were solely funded by the US government but of late, private sources have taken over the funding.

A number of scientists have spent a greater part of their lives attempting to know the links between the existence of life in other planets and strange phenomena. Principal among them being Frank Drake and Carl Sagan. Carl Sagan came up with a theory that alien life like bacteria exist not only on earth but also throughout the universe. In addition, he asserted that it’s not possible that there is no any other intelligent life existing in the universe other than our planet.

The founder of the SETI, Frank Drake, has devoted his entire life in establishing the existence of aliens. He is popularly known for inventing the Green Bank or Drake Equation. The equation can be used to determine the number of existing intelligent civilizations in our galaxy. It relies on many factors to determine the outcomes such as the planets that would adopt intelligent life, the number of planets with life, the rates of stars formation and many more.
